PACE Enterprises is hosting a free electronics recycling event on Monday, August 15 from 10 am to 2 pm.  The event will be at the Hazel and JW Ruby Community Center at Mylan Park in Morgantown.  People will be able to drive their car inside the building and unload into containers for recycling.

The following items will be accepted: All computers, printers, servers, peripherals, wiring, cable, battery backups, flat monitors, all small electronic devices, phones, stereos, headsets, DVD players, and small appliances.  There is a $20 charge for tube type televisions and computer monitors due to increased handling.   Appliances and air conditioners will not be accepted.  This event is for residential e-waste only.  Commercial locations can contact PACE to make arrangements for e-cycling.

“PACE Enterprises is proud to do our part reducing e-waste and at the same time provide jobs for people with disabilities”, said Greg Morris, President and CEO of PACE Enterprises.

The “e-waste” recycling process minimizes the amount of hazardous and harmful materials that would normally end up in landfills.

PACE Enterprises is a member of the CyclePoint network, a new national eRecycling network that offers communities across the United States safe and secure electronics disposal.  PACE has also earned R2-2013 certification, the leading standard for electronics recycling.
