Great news the MCSWA is hiring a part-time accountant! This person will be responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable, quick books, and excel work. The hours are Monday-Friday 10am-2pm. If you are interested, please come by the MCSWA office and speak to Jess.

Tire Amnesty Day Has Been Scheduled!

The WVDEP has Scheduled the Monongalia County Tire Amnesty Day! The event will be held July 13th, 2013 from 8 am- 4 pm at Sam’s Club in the University Town Center. To see the scheduled days for all counties please follow this link Scheduled Tire Days.

Tire Collection Rules

Only tires from state residents will be accepted. Please have your WV ID ready when you sign in.
A ten tire limit per person will be strictly enforced.
Tires on or off the rim will be allowed.
We accept only car or light truck tires. (16 inches or less)

MCCRC will no longer be accepting GLASS

The Monongalia County Community Recycling Center has decided that we will no longer be accepting GLASS as of June 28th, 2013. The Board of Directors passed a 4 to 0 vote at the last Regular Board Meeting to discontinue accepting Glass as of July 1st, 2013. This decision is made only for the Mon. Co. Community Recycling Center, it does not affect the Single Stream or Curbside Recycling being accepted in the city of Morgantown.

The Regular Board Meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 13th, 2013 at 4:30 PM. The public meeting will be held at the Wes Mon Plaza in the WVU Extension Office which their address is 34 Commerce Dr. Ste. 106 Westover, WV 26501. Directly after this Public Meeting the Board Members will be opening the Bid Packets for Electronics Recycling and also for the Equipment Bid that is currently open and will close as of Friday, May 10th, 2013 at 5:00 PM.

Relocation of the Public Drop-off site from Lockside Rd to Dupont Rd

Mountaineer Transfer Station; Increase in Rates
